A New Musical

Music & Lyrics by Taylor Pearlstein
Book by Shannon Molly Flynn

“But i wasn’t born to love you. I shouldn’t have even learned your name. i was a fool to think i had a shot, but i was playing a different game. i wasn’t supposed to know you. I took a wrong turn into your lane. i wasn’t born to love you, but i love you all the same. ”

“Born to Love You” | Performed by Michael Haynie, Wake You Up

ABOUT wake you up

Through the friendship of Jordon and Avery, WAKE YOU UP examines the loss we must endure in this life and in what ways we carry each other through. While one clings to life in the hospital, we cascade in and out of their collective memories; the heartbreak of unexpected loss, the comfort of found family, and the harsh reality of the inability to take everyone through this physical life. However, Jordon and Avery ultimately discover that collisions just might happen for a reason.
